We are a small, inclusive Pre-school dedicated to our children’s happiness, well-being and development.
Founded in 1970, we are a registered charity (no. 1024412), and all profits from fees and fundraising are invested back into resources for Beauchief Pre-school.
Our Staff
Our staff are experienced, caring, enthusiastic and hard working. We are a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance which allows us to keep up to date with new ideas and practices. Our staff also receive ongoing advice and training through their courses, literature and support.
Our Standards
Our latest OFSTED report in January 2020 found the provision of Early Years Education to be “Good” with recognition for the dedication and experience of staff and the great feedback from parents.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, teaching through structured games and play. The areas of learning are:
- communication and language
- physical development
- personal, social and emotional development
- literacy
- mathematics
- understanding the world
- expressive arts and design
Children attending Beauchief Pre-school can feed into any of the local primary schools.
