Much of Beauchief Pre-school’s success is down to the hard work and dedication of our team, led by Mrs Helen Wasnidge.

Children thrive in our friendly, caring environment and we make sure that the qualifications and experience of all our staff are kept up to date with regular training and development opportunities. And we are all mothers, so we recognise the value of early years education. We have all been working here for years and have a low staff turnover, so the children are guaranteed to see familiar faces every day.

Mrs Helen Wasnidge is our Pre-school manager and a Level 5 qualified Early Years Practitioner, our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer.
Mrs Sarah Cousins is our Deputy Pre-school Manager, Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, Administrator and First Aider.
Mrs Mary Hirst is a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner and First Aider.

All our Staff and Parent Forum are fully DBS checked and OFSTED approved to comply with our Safeguarding Policy. 

Beauchief Pre-school staff are employed by the Parent Forum – parents who volunteer their services during their time with us.

One of Beauchief Pre-school’s main assets is the strong support provided by parents. The Forum posts are Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and we also have other parents who help out with fundraising events and other aspects.

We hold a Parent Forum meeting each half term, open to all, where we discuss what’s happening at Pre-school and make plans for the future, in an informal setting. All parents/carers are welcome to attend and contribute to the running of Pre-school.
